7 Measures of Success: What Remarkable Associations Do That Others Don't
Wayne Gross,  7 Measures Task Force Member, Speaker

"Successful associations adapt quickly and profoundly to circumstances as they unfold,
while others may never see the change coming."

 – Excerpt from 7 Measures of Success: What Remarkable Associations Do That Others Don't

7 Measures for Success is the result of a four-year study by ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership, and based on Good to Great author Jim Collin's work and informal mentorship.

This historic study focused on getting to the heart of what makes a remarkable nonprofit organization. 7 Measures of Success contains knowledge that assists association executives in planning the future of their organizations. Based on 15 years of data and original, objective research tailored to the association community's needs 7 Measures of Success provides empirical data and seven success factors common among visionary nonprofits.

"The power of the Center's research lies not just in what the team found but equally in what it did not find," Collins writes in the foreword.

The member-driven vs. staff driven conundrum is debunked as are other myths about board size, board selection, reserve ratios, and whether the best CEOs come from industry or the ranks of association managers. The factors that do predict which associations make the quantum leap from good to great are both simple and profound. Do what counts, the study says.  Count what you do.

Attend TSAE's Tradeshow to hear more about this study, and what it means for your association from 7 Measures Task Force member, Wayne Gross.
